What SolveKit is
SolveKit is an independent website that offers free online tools and plain-English guides for everyday problems: working out a percentage, checking a loan payment, converting units, counting words, creating a strong password and similar jobs that come up in normal life.
The idea is simple. When you have a small problem, you should be able to get a clear answer quickly, without creating an account, installing anything or wading through clutter.
How the tools work
Every calculator runs inside your web browser. The numbers, dates and text you type are not sent to our servers. That keeps your information private and makes the tools fast. The password generator uses your browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator.
How we write and check our content
- Formulas are written out in the guide next to each tool, so you can check the working yourself.
- We test tools against worked examples with known answers before publishing them.
- Guides explain the idea first, give an example, and point out common mistakes.
- Where a topic touches money or health, we say clearly that the content is general information and not professional advice.
Corrections
We are human and can make mistakes. If you find an error in a tool or a guide, please tell us through the contact page, with the tool name and the numbers you entered. We review every report and fix confirmed problems.
How the site is funded
